In order to create an online photo album, a person must first have a collection of photos that he or she wants to use. Most companies that deal with photographic products have a mechanism to allow users to upload several photos at one time. The photos may still have to come up in batches, but with a speedy internet connection, this part of the process shouldnt take too long. A good way to expedite it is to figure out exactly which pictures are wanted for the album rather than simply uploading every photo that is potentially relevant.

Once the pictures have been uploaded, its time to begin arranging the album. Some photo companies will do that job themselves for those who have no particular interest in the order of the pictures. This is the easiest way to create an album, but most people prefer to have a little more control over the final look.

Luckily, most companies are set up to allow users to decide on the order of their photographs. These decisions are not set in stone; if, at a later point in the book, a person decides that an earlier photograph would be better on this page, that photo can be added to the page and deleted from the previous page easily.

On any given page, one may choose to have one photo, several photos or none at all. Generally, there will be a variety of layout options on each page, so the photos can be situated in the middle or one of the corners, and they can sit side by side or overlap. They neednt always be straight, either; its often possible to print them at an angle if so desired.
In addition to the pictures, many choose to have text throughout the book, and there is usually no extra charge for this. Adding captions is an ideal way to ensure that the significance of each moment captured in the book will be clear, especially to people several years down the line. Making albums in this way is so simple and costeffective that some choose to create one after every trip or major occasion, while others enjoy surprising friends with them.
